The Swedish Maritime Administration carries out extensive maintenance work every year to check and to service aids to navigation along the Swedish coast. The work is still ongoing in the waters around Bay of Bothnia. All mariners are advised to pay extra attention and to exercise caution when navigating in Bay of Bothnia, as the current positioning of floating aids to navigation may be inaccurate.

Mariners who notice that buoyage is out of position are encouraged to contact the Swedish Maritime Administration.
